We had a mixed experience at Sunset Vistas Beachfront Suites. The location is perfect, right on the beach with beautiful views of the Gulf. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially Jules at the front desk who went above and beyond to assist us. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped, with a full kitchen and washer/dryer, which was a great convenience. However, the cleanliness of the room left much to be desired. We found moldy shower curtains in a bag outside our front door, and the bathrooms were gross with mildew and grime on the faucets and dead bugs on the floor. The room also had a musty smell that we couldn't get rid of.The pool area was beautiful and recently renovated, but the beach bar was very expensive, even charging $4 for a few cups of ice to rechill our drinks. We also had to wait for 2 days to get our complaints about the room addressed, which was frustrating. Overall, we were disappointed with the service and cleanliness of the hotel, but the location and amenities were a plus. The biggest issue we had was with the parking. There is very limited non-assigned parking available prior to and after check-in/check-out times, and the parking is not suitable for larger vehicles. We had to park our SUV in a tight spot and had to back out carefully to avoid damaging other cars.Despite the issues we had, we would still recommend Sunset Vistas Beachfront Suites to families and couples looking for a beach vacation. The hotel has a great location, and the staff is friendly and helpful. However, we would caution against staying in room 505N, which had a stained couch and a tub with flaking coating. We hope that the hotel management will take our feedback seriously and make some improvements to the cleanliness and service of the hotel. With a little bit of effort, Sunset Vistas Beachfront Suites could be a truly exceptional beach vacation destination.
