This location, serving the Tampa community, falls short in several areas. While it's a part of the Government Service and Urban planning department, the overall experience leaves much to be desired. One major concern is the handling of traffic information, where planners have been known to manipulate data to get certain projects approved. This lack of transparency and integrity is a significant issue. The planners' use of the Comprehensive Plan and Future land Use documents is also questionable, as they seem to interpret the language in a way that favors approval over community concerns. This creates a power imbalance and leaves residents feeling disenfranchised. In terms of planning, there appears to be a lack of foresight, with too many projects being approved in the same area, resulting in severe traffic implications. The consequence is a significant increase in congestion, making the area increasingly difficult to navigate.Despite its shortcomings, this location seems to be working well in some areas. The building is wheelchair accessible, with features like a wheelchair-accessible restroom, parking lot, and entrance, which is a positive aspect. However, these amenities cannot compensate for the serious issues with planning and transparency.
