I've had a couple of really bad experiences with AmeriCare Ambulance Services, but there was one great experience that makes me think they can be good sometimes. The main issue I have with this company is that the people who work for them seem to be inconsistent in their level of care and professionalism. In my first experience, I paid a lot of money for a non-emergency transport and was left waiting for two hours. The person who was supposed to drive me showed up in an Uber, which was not what I paid for. I felt like I was taken advantage of. Another time, the driver who took me to the hospital made me wait for 50 minutes in a lot of pain. The worst part was that she made me feel discriminated against because she didn't want to lift me into the ambulance due to her own safety concerns. It's unacceptable that she spoke to me in front of others like that. These are not the kind of people I want transporting my loved ones. On the other hand, there was one experience where the paramedics and EMTs were excellent. They treated my loved one with kindness and respect, and they were well-trained and attentive. Unfortunately, this good experience doesn't make up for the bad ones. Overall, I would say that AmeriCare Ambulance Services needs to work on being more consistent in their level of care and professionalism. The fact that they can be good sometimes just isn't enough. The issue of inconsistent care and professionalism seems to be a major problem here.
